Guru Purnima begins this evening and through tomorrow, on this day the qualities of Guru are at their strongest. Purinama means full moon, and just like how the sun’s light is most reflected on the full moon, on this deep level, the qualities of Guru are reflected most fully towards us.
Without the presence of the Guru, the Guru principle, none of this conversation, study, exploration and practice of Yoga and Tantra would exist.
It has been the sincerity and integrity over countless generations that has brought this to us today, these teachings and practices that are timeless and everrelevant.
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have encountered those whom I’ve learnt from. If you have a practice of Yoga, you have also experienced this.
